"For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation, to everyone who believes it; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek"  Romans 1:16.

Born and reared in a Christian home in Hempstead, Long Island, NY, Helen Marie Parker gave her life to Jesus Christ at an early age and in her youth reverenced the Lord Jesus and had a passion for worshipping Him. During her teen years, she veered from the path, but came to renew her commitment to the Lord on June 18, 1980 and has not turned back.  She loves to recount her conversion experience and subsequent encounters with the Holy Spirit that spawned her into accepting her calling - to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Because her life experiences have taken her from the guttermost to the uttermost, she is fascinated to tell others what God is able to do if they will but put their trust in Him!   She has a genuine love for people and reaches out to demonstrate the love of God's that constrains her.

Helen left New York in 1977 and relocated to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she met and married her beloved husband of 25 years, David Kennedy, who was promoted to glory on March 3, 2004.  The two founded and pastored Wayside Family Harvest in 2004.  She continued to pastor after David's passing until The Lord temporarily released her from that assignment in August of 2008.  She served as an elder at New Destiny International Ministries in Margate, Florida, under the pastorate of Woody Bennett, a dynamic expositor of God's Holy Word.  

Unctioned by the Holy Spirit to get back on course, Pastor-Evangelist Kennedy will resume her pastoral ministry in September 2010, establishing the ministry - Sanctuary of Living Waters ~ "Where The Word Brings Life!"   

Passionate about reaching the harvest, Pastor Kennedy engages in prison, nursing home, hospital, and street outreach.  As well, she is often called upon to speak for various conferences throughout the country.  She is very transparent when she ministers, believing that many of the trials and tribulations she's endured, though happening to her were not about her, but a testimony that God can trust her: she will not "curse God and die."  She has learned how to praise and worship her way through every fiery trial and so inspire others to believe God to be their "refuge and strength, a very present help in the time of trouble."  

Pastor Kennedy believes that God has her in a place to complete the writing of her first book on "widowhood," as well as her media venture - "This is My Story!" - a video miniseries of the testimonies of individuals whose lives have been transformed by the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Stay tuned!
